Civet is a self-assured, poised chypre with a very retro backbone, a perfectly structured, geometrically tailored, and ravishingly sensuous smellscape of my favorite imaginary future, seen from back in the past.

A whiff of darkness, coming from the underground “belly of the earth” and the coldness of narrow stone corridors that are lost in mazes submerged underwater (the R.E.M phase of a reoccurring nightmare for this claustrophobic here). Although it is earthy-moist-mineral-fermented-fruity-resinous, the perfume somehow manages to keep an airy note, running through its DNA.
Bestialul bestiar – Zoologist
Prima dată ochii mi-au fost furaţi de marketingul vesel, prietenos, proaspat si entuziast al casei Zoologist – o serie de schiţe alb-negru, ca nişte cărţi de vizită făcute într-un stil jucăuş antropomorf-kitsch-goth-post-ironic. Apoi, am aplaudat mesajul etic al brandului – toate parfumurile sunt cruely-free, nu conţin mosc sau alte produse de origine animală.
